e-Vidyavahini is a unified ICT platform that empowers the Department of School Education and Literacy, Jharkhand to monitor, measure & transform education service delivery and learning outcomes.

e-Vidya Vahini is a combination of mobile application and a web portal with advance analytical dashboards and MIS to capture multiple parameters related to school infrastructure, delivery of schemes, learning outcomes, program implementation, academic initiatives, resource management etc. The system enables officials to send/collect multiple surveys and inspection data from the field (panchayat/ward, block, district etc.). This helps in generating analytical data and easy to understand dashboards for effective administrative decision making and service delivery. It also serves as a two-way communication platform to address issues and grievances of schools, and education officials at multiple levels. The application is adequately customizable and flexible to cater to multiple levels of users.

Modules of eVidya Vahini

Master Data Management

• Facilitates the users like teachers, principal and officers to download & sync the master data like demographics, school details, attendance, student details, biometrics, geo-fencing, profile data, MDM etc. to work offline as well as online.

Stakeholder Mapping

• Creation of profiles and data management of schools, students, teachers, principals, government officials (for administration, inspection & training)
• Integration with Unified District Information System for Education (centralized MIS of Govt. of India)

Student Enrollment

• Teachers can directly enroll new students & update the existing list of students through this module

Teacher Enrolment

• Facilitates online enrolment of new teacher directly through this module by the officer and also update the existing list of teachers

Students & Teacher Attendance

• Student & Teacher Attendance captured with GPS tracking & time stamping
• Facilitates offline attendance & real time monitoring of attendance performance

Learning Tracking Format (LTF)

• The LTF is a standard format for assessment created to track the competency of the students and the learning outcome

Spot Test

• Enables officer to take spot assessment of the students during hi s visit for inspection
• The module has a set of predefined questionnaire for different grades of students for assessment to track the learning outcome

Student Progression

• Facilitates in promotion of students to the next standard on a yearly basis basing on the performances.

Leave Management

• Leave management for teachers against allotted leaves & declare d holiday calendar
• Workflow for application & sanctioning of leave and leave accumulation
• Integration with HRMIS and Payroll system for credit or deductions in salary for leaves

Learning Material Sharing

• Facilitates upload of supplementary teacher’s training material
• Content management platform to organize and manage learning resources (in multiple formats – audio, video, text) in an easy to access library.

Learning Outcome Monitoring

• Enable baseline assessments and creation of student groups base d on learning levels
• Spot testing of 3 or more students in each school visited by officials
• Measurement of student performance & improvement as per digitized learning tracking format (date wise milestones for particular competency)

Mid-Day Meal Management

• Managing funds allocated & food distribution
• Adhering to menu for meals served every day
• Provision to upload pictures for checking whether meal is cooked and served in hygienic conditions
• Real time monitoring of MDM performance (district, block and cluster wise)

School Facility & Infrastructure Monitoring

• Facilitates monitoring of proportion of used & unused classrooms, classrooms requiring repair, toilets (boys vs girls) requiring repair, classrooms used for teaching purposes
• Proximity of school to main road with traffic is tracked
• Availability of playground & sporting equipment is also checked
• Condition of boundary wall, availability of other facilities such as drinking water, electricity & internet connectivity are also verified
